The Juliformia sp. Black Sumbawa is one of the rarest millipede species currently available in the exotic invertebrate hobby. Recently discovered and identified from the island of Sumbawa in Indonesia, these striking jet-black millipedes are virtually unknown outside of specialist collectors.
About This Species
Juliformia is a superorder of round-backed millipedes containing the orders Julida, Spirobolida, and Spirostreptida. The Black Sumbawa locality represents a newly identified species that has only recently entered the hobby. Very little published care information exists for this species — Terrarium Station LLC is one of the first breeders to offer captive-bred specimens with a comprehensive care guide included with every purchase.
